Haven't been around much the last three or so weeks due to some health issues with my wife. Things are fine.....just no time. Wasn't really looking for bikes and had these 3 fall into my lap. Good for a spirit booster!

A mid 60's Huffy built Firestone ( gonna keep the tires and rims and part the rest out), A 46/47 Schwinn DX project....badged as an "American Standard" for a sporting goods store in Columbus, Ohio(not sure yet what it's fate will be) And a beautiful, original paint '52 Schwinn Panther that just needs a good detail (I think this one is a keeper)

If I were you, I wouldn't part out the 1st bike  But it's your bike :p

It has beautiful chrome.....I really wanted the rims for another middle weight I have and the tires are Western Flyer and will go on one of my Western Flyers. It's hard to keep them all :?

Besides I already have a close twin to it

Nice score on the panther Jeff...I am having some serious fresh finds envy
I haven't dragged anything home for a while and I miss that new old bike smell :D

Thanks Mark.....I've really slowed down looking for them. I had 6 bikes offered to me. Normally they all would have came home but I've seriously been trying to thin the herd. I keep thinking......keep 10 or so of the best. You know how hard that is  Anyways....they were very cheap. I seem to hover around that 25 bike mark. Thats more than I really have room to store  Hope you find one soon.....gotta get your fix 8)

If you plan on getting rid of the DX or the Panther in the future let me know please. Im still working on the higgins I got from you. I got all the rust off with a wire wheel(took about 2 weeks) filed down the rest of the pitting and this week i sanded the metal almost smooth. Now its time for some high build primer. Anyways let me know...Jason

That's the first maroon and red Panther I've ever seen. That must be a rare color combo 'cause I've seen a ton of Panthers over the years. Gary

I've seen a boys in the same red color combo......I've had 2 other Panthers (1 boys, 1 girls) and they were both 2 tone green and rust brown

I feel your pain in regards to thinning the herd. My wife has taken to watching hoarders. For some reason it seems to freak her out a little bit that have in excess of 120 bikes. I mean come on...thats not that many right?
It also might have a little to do with the volkswagen graveyard in our pasture, bikes are easier to hide.

I have actually sold quite a few over the summer but made a late night ebay impulse buy the other night...right after I finished watching hoarders :p
Put me in line for the Panther if you are crazy enough to let it go...I have the boys version in the same color scheme, they sure would make a cute couple. Maybe they would get together and have little baby Panthers??
