Found something in the crawl space doing renovations.

I was down in the crawl space under my house and stumbled across something kinda cool. An old tire. And I mean old. "Custom PURE cushion" wide whitewall, 15" tire. Looks like something from a model a. Really skinny. 4 ply and had a 4 number code on the back 8538 Aug.5,1938???

Anyone know anything about vintage tires? Worth anything? I'll post pics tomarrow.

It's definitely a car tire, too tall to be a bike tire and the whitewall is only on one side.

I did a google search and turned up empty except for a picture of this for sale add. Looks very similar.

Didn't looks like a 30s tire to me. More of a 50s one but pics are Bad. A pic of the thread and the diameter will help. Probably a tire sold at pure oil service station.

Would be interesting (at least for me) to have it washed and get good pics of it. I have a vintage tire Tumblr

Hmmm cool, right now it's stuck in the crawl space, it's bigger than the access space and I'd have to open the outside access to get it out which is sealed up with foam.

huffy frame to it and leave it for future generations to discover.
