Found this in Trash in the Hood...1950's?

I just posted the serial #'s for this bike, but was able to get a picture. Here she is. Have no idea what it is. Found this out in the trash in the hood. Serial # on the hub are: M.D. R224x51, 552622. Head badge is square, but you can' t read what it is. Please help me identify what this is. Thanks for your time...

It's a Murray built bike. I think the x in the serial might mean it was a Western Flyer, which did have square badges around the late 50s-early 60s era. -Adam

I think you are right. I think I misread the "MD", which I now think is "MO", for Murray, Ohio. I think it's a 1959 model. Is this worth restoring? Thanks...

If the light is stock and its a delta hawk its 1959-1961

Cool looking bike....probably not worth restoring ??? but work to get it street worthy and spray it down with olive oil or WD-40 and ride....Let me know

Cool old bike find! Great patina. Id just get it working and safe and ride it all ratty. In the picture, the wheels look to be 24" or smaller. Maybe its just my eyes.
