Frame clamps?

This may be a stupid question, but I've tried bike shops and hardware stores and I can't find anything exactly like what I need.

Where do i find clamps for bolting stuff onto a frame? Something like a seat post clamp, only with a bigger tab for mounting things on. There's got to be something around somewhere. Anyone got any tricks they'd like to share?

I don't know of anything purposely made for that. Surely there is something at the hardware store that would work although it might not look so good. What is it you're wanting to mount to the frame?

Motorcycle parts suppliers usually have clamps for mounting accessory lighting, hi-way bars or what-have-you to frames and (warning: non-PC part description! ) crash bars that may work.

Commonly called P-clamps. Most hardware stores should have them. i always save ones that come with lights, locks etc.....
