Sorry, don't quite know which section of this forum this question fits... I live in the Long Beach CA area (south of LA). Anyone have recommendations on places to find free or near-free bikes & parts? Yeah, I know I may be asking people to reveal their secrets, but it's worth a try.
I'm thinking primarily of scrapyards where bikes might be found. I know there are vintage and used bike shops, secondhand stores, swap meets, and plenty of stuff online, but sometimes you just can't find what you need, don't know what you need, want some inspiration, or just feel like digging around! Does such a place exist? Oh please do say yes! Thx.
