Picked this up yesterday, tires are flat, but they look like they don't have dryrot.

I wonder if I should ride it like it is after lubing it up, or do a classic ratrod color scheme.

i have a 86' murray monteray of the same color, except in a more advanced stage of fading and no hints of blue. i built it up into a 5speed cruiser, then went full on 10speed. the very next thing i plan to do and the first thing i should have done was repaint it. maybe if i strip it down, ill just make it back a single speed. it keeps my 93' westport company in my shop for now.

They built a ton of these during the 80s! My RRBO4 bike, Murrrat, is a formerly red 82 Monteray. I also have a teal one like yours that hasn't faded out. I say paint yours. ~Adam
