I hope that you'll be able to change out the chainrings before it's done.
That’s easier said than done . I think I have chain rings to set it up . And I have the mile of chain that I would need . My concern is doing the work just to have the bike pedal like a lead balloon . Estheticly I agree it would look better with a skip tooth drive train . If I ever found the correct chain rings I’d do it . I’m on the fence with this one though. I have other bikes I’d prefer to move on to .

I've always wondered what it feels like to ride solo in the rear position!
Better than riding with someone in front on this bike . Face to butt distance not so great. Lol
 
Add some RaT-ina to those pedals and the rear seat clamp bolt to tie in with your other stellar work on this!
