Technically Boise and most of Southern Idaho is High Desert, no cactus though. The family and I travelled down to Prescott,AZ to attend my niece's graduation from Embry Riddle with a degree in aeronautical engineering. We took a few extra days to explore the area including: Sedona, Jerome, Slippery Rock, Montezuma's Castle, AZ Science Muzeum and a few other places. I would not of gone there without the graduation excuse but glad I did.

Looks like an awesome trip. :D

Hard to believe sometimes that places like that actually exist in the U.S.

Man really nice. I have been a bunch of places , but never saw a giraffe ...well maybe at a zoo.
It looks a lot like our trip to New Mexico. Same type mountains but not much water. Its good to
get out some. I'm ready to go again.

That family photo is great.
What's the yellow bike thing some self propelled amusement ride at the museum?

Yes. It had a counter weight down low so there was not much need to balance, just pedal it up and back.
