Hello all -
I'm in the process of "building" (I say that lightly after looking at some of the awesome work on here) a bike from a WM Huffy Cranbrook starting point, and I'm curious if the front forks that came with the bike can be bent forward...to adjust the rake. I've been considering a bent springer front fork, but in an effort to keep this project as "cost effective" as possible, I've begun to think that simply bending the front "stock" forks might be the cheapest way to go.
Is this possible? has anyone out there done (something like) this before? Would you have a machine shop do something such as this?
Any information that may be offered before I end up stabbing myself in the abdomen with some Huffy forks will be greatly appreciated...thank you!
