galaxy flyer, year?

Buddy of mine drug this over a lil' while ago... wanted to know if i wanted to buy it.

was curious what year it might of been manufactured... Numbers I wrote down off the rear dropoout look to be T749586

Yep, that's a Western Flyer headbadge. Most of them are Murray, but yours is AMF made, in Arkansas. Probably mid 60's going by the sprocket and seat collar. Nice bike! I just noticed it's got a BMI sticker on the seat tube so it may be early 70's.

I'd have to agree with all that

AMF Built, 1971-1977. 1978 and up were Murray built. The Galaxy Flyer was eventually replaced by the Grand Trophy; Huffy and Murray built those.

I have a 60' AMF roadmaster, and i also agree that yours is AMF built, but that straight down tube makes me think late 60's or even early 70's. Nice bike by the way! Godd patina.

It's typical of ealry 70s AMF's. I have one with skinny rims and a Roadmaster badge.
