Galveston Bike Festival Aug 28

Saw a post on craigslist for this. Parade starts at 11AM.
The post says there will be a bicycle show, live band, food and other vendors.
My kind of Saturday.

It ought to be a good turn out, we've got quite a few of us going (Rusty Riders B/C) and I hear there are some from San Antonio going too.

I'm just bringing the wife. My kids will not want to wake up for it (teenagers).
Only one of my 3 cruisers is rideable right now. I will probably have two rideable for the festival.

I pulled some parts from my mountain bikes and had all 3 cruisers roadworthy. Soon after, my DBack Voyager ate it's bottom bracket. Looks like I'll be showing up with my drum braked Mongoose Zuma and my CB Western Flyer.

drabe - I got there too late today to join the parade. Just pedalled around Galveston with my wife and bought a T shirt.
Please post a link where I can get info on your rides in the Heights. I can always find a roadie ride to join but I'd like do some cruiser rides.

There was about 9 or 10 of us that rode in the parade, afterwards we rode all over G-town and didn't head home 'til around 4:00!
