Garage sale Schwinn

I got this 1956 wasp for $25 recently. It's apparently all original except for the seat. The fenders have been repainted with a brush, but it's a pretty fair job. I'm riding it this summer, then it'll be my winter project ! Any great ideas as to what it needs?

Wow looks like it's in great shape for $25 bucks. Nice score.
Personally I'd just polish it up, maybe put a rack on the back, and take off the non-original water bottle bracket. Then double, triple, or even quadruple your money on it.

The forks have a slight bend, a pretty easy fix. That'll make it ride much better. Other than that, it looks good to go. Nice find.

What a score! I paid around 200 for my '62! That chainguard is a '59 or later. It would've had a red & white "S" seat, unless it was a Heavy Duty Wasp, would've had a seat like that, with 'Schwinn' embossed on the back. I wouldn't do much of anything to that besides ride it! :mrgreen: -Adam
