With the seat jacked up and those low bars you'd have to be a contortionist to ride the thing and would end up with kyphosis.(curvature of the spine) I'm not built like that anyway. Gary

I think it's in "hipster mode"!! -Adam

Looks like Fisher heavily borrowed from Inglis or Black Sheep Cycles, nice looking though.

You don't have to set it up like that.

So if I understand correctly...Gary Fisher as a bike company will no longer exist?

My old boss Doug White at White Ind. where I ran machines making hub and crank parts got started around the same time in the same woods. He said the first bikes Gary and his buddies built for themselves were old beach cruisers converted to ride off road. That group basically invented mountain biking.

The set up on the bike is customary mountain bike position. Check out this site for the history of the mountain biking craze. Although Gary tries to claim the responsibility for the whole idea like most things in life it came together through many peoples efforts.

It looks uncomfy but it's not really. When I raced my XC mtb race two weeks ago. I had my seat lower at a normal riding height but it was killing me and tiring me out. After adjusting three times during the race. I ended up basically at that position and it was so much more comfy and easier riding. A race riding position is different then normal cruising position but even after riding when I got home and left it as it was. It still felt so much better. I think the bike looks really cool.
