As this bike is inspired by the Pashley Guv'nor, to stick to the British theme, I've called it Geezer.

Frame: Powdercoated 50's Malvern Star (Australian made).
Wheels: Velocity 700c rims. The rear is laced to a Sachs Torpedo Duomatic hub and the front to a Shimano MTB hub.
Tires: Schwalbe 700c x 35 Delta Cruiser.
Pedals: MKS.
Cranks: ??? from an old road bike and hand polished.
Stem: Hand polished Win.
Bars/Grips: Shortened Soma Noahs Arc, and the grips are Portland Design Dapper Dan.
Saddle: Honey Brooks B17.
Coaster Brake Strap: Polished teaspoon.

Re: Geezer

Nice job. That'd be really popular in my hood. I'd get a good lock! I really dig the swept bars. Good balance of old and new looks.

I have a frame I want to give a similar 29" setup.

Re: Geezer

yes, the brake strap is genius! and an elemental beauty to the bikeoverall.

i saw a picture of A Guv'nor recently and thought that my Gnash Single was sort of superficially turning into one. i want a coaster brake, but the resemblance will stop there, because i want a front coaster brake and fatter tires. i'll lose some of the stark simplicity of your Geezer when i'm finished. (early Ross mountain bike turned freewheel single, with Brooks B67 and other parts fom here and there.)

Re: Geezer

Thanks for all the kind feedback. I can't take too much credit for the brake strap though, as I first saw it on Kram's "Stripped and Teased" and thought it would look good on this bike. I'm really, really happy with how this bike turned out. It rides real good and attracts plenty of positive comments. I'm displaying it, FATRAT, and my son's Junior Tracker (he has renamed it Astro Cruiser) at a large car show this weekend, so I'll post some pics in the Events section.

Re: Geezer

A friend of me once had a dog called "Geezer", but your bike is much more beautiful! It looks like from 1910, I love this style - very well done!!!

regards, Paul

I bought these Nitto B603 promenade bars for another project, and decided to try them on this bike.....looks like I'll have to get a new set for the other bike  .
