This is a simple trick. To prevent paint from bleeding under the taped off stripe, do the following. Say you want to put a red stripe down a white fender (mud guard). Lay down the primer and white. Then tape off where you want your red stripe. Now shoot another layer of white paint. This will seal the seams of the tape. NOW shoot the red. You should get a nice crisp edge on your stripe.
