Im going to start getting ready for winter soon since I mainly work on bikes outside, was just wondering who else is starting to get ready for winter.

I also only have a shed. And way too many bikes. Winter here means rain- so I have to decide what bikes to "bury" for the winter and what bikes to leave easily accesable.

With as many bikes as I have, I have the same problem plan on lining up and covering all the bikes I have to fix and sale. Been looking at my kids old trampoline thinking hmmm I could use that as a half circle frame for a shed to store bikes. ( less bike in garage = more work space) Just need to find some tin for the skin of it.

I work in the driveway in front of the open garage door. To prepare for winter I will need to put on long pants and a sweatshirt. :D

You're lucky. For winter I sometimes bring my personal bikes inside to work on but for the most part I just shut down bikes don't sell here in the winter at all so I just stockpile for spring.

I'm thinking about setting up a workbench in the basement. I have too much stuff to work on to wait til spring. Like for instance, I have a rusty hub that needs rebuilding... ahem.

You sure do! But hey it will look awesome on an old ratty bike. Or if it's too far gone make a cool paperweight / cutaway model.

how is that Ray's mtb park. there are rumor's circulating that he is looking at some mill buildings near me to open up one of those parks.

Cleveland is bad ass. Dirt jumps and the park is huge. Milwaukee is nice as well but not as big. He's a genius, never satisfied with how things are and changes things every year. Nice for beginners all the way up to the pros. I plan on going Saturday and taking lots of pics so look out for them.

I have so many hobbies... bikes and guitars are my main projects, at any given time I may have one or two of each apart. I also work part time doing remodeling and outdoor decks, so my two car garage is unable to shield my van from the weather, because I'm liable to have a bike or two apart... stacks of lumber or other building materials... and table saws, a band saw, a couple of miter saws, and a couple of compressors, not to mention crated tools according to trade, plumbing, carpentry - trim or rough, masonry, and electrical. Add my kids bikes and things I can't seem to toss but have no need of....there's an old upright piano shell back in there some where!

At some point soon the STACKONATOR in me will awake and a bay of my garage will appear...

I am in the same boat as dougfisk. Cooler weather here means I start to think about working on bikes again.
