Brazed with bernzomatic mini torch set - 1st try ever. Seems to be strong.

Frame is now cleared with three coats of this

Ordered some beartrap pedals last night.
Thankfully the ugly reflectors pop out.

I think all I need is a chain now and I will have a rideable bike.
Then I have to figure out the tap system.

Soooo, I am guessing I ordered the wrong bottom bracket conversion kit?
The gap is around 1/2'' and I can't get in further.
Looking in from the other side, it looks like if I can get it in further, it might be a 1/16'' of an inch before it hits..
Do I have to grind it down all the way around a bit so it clears where it hits?

its right just need to put it all the way in, best is to you a headset tool

But when iblook in from the other side, it's hitting the inside lip where the old bearing cups were. I don't see how it can go any further. The screw holes are almost blocked by the inner lip.

I was surprised as well, but I found these brazing sticks that had the flux on the sticks and they just worked effortlessly.
