As I'm sure everyone here already knows, the Schwinn-style cantilever springer fork is very common and easy to find (when building a repro vintage), though I'm sure the quality varies widely from one vendor to another.

Monark springers are sweet, and there's a variety of vendors that make them. I am curious who makes the best version, but even they are starting to become more common...

I really like girder forks, and I am not finding much. maybe I'm using the wrong search terms, but...even if I finally stumble across one, I'm afraid there's a chance the quality might be off, so I'd like to find several suppliers to compare, if possible.

Thanks in advance for any tips...

I was excited to see the Ruff "regulator" girder fork, but...$350 plus tax & shipping? (*sad face). I am now in communication with a fabricator in Croatia, who built the "Mental Manno" ebike. What are the desirable features that RRB members most want? 1-inch steerer? 1-1/8-inch? maybe 1-1/8 clamps with a tube shim-pack to swap between the two? What length of steerer? Allowances for an available air-shock, coil-over shock, or chrome spring?

All it takes is money, but....I don't want to order ten units (delivered to Kansas) and then just have them collecting dust. I need a spec list before I can get a quote. So...what would move fast enough to make it worth the trouble?

This does look slick...

Now that is a tempting fork!
I may have to sell one of my Girvins.

For that price, ummm yea.

I have 5 sets of girder forks,2 I have used on my builds,1 is on its way and 2 are hanging collecting dust. They are all from old vintage cyclomotors 90cc-125cc, dating from 1920's-1940's.Not hard to find,if you know where to look.:wink1:I normally pay $60-$90 including shipping...
I purchased the whole frame and forks for $120,and turned it into the 1910Indian.
