Re: Girvin proflex, Value ?

Its the coil spring, and I ended up getting it, it is missing some parts but I am sure I have whats missing, crank arms, pedals, shifters, derailers, and the wheels dont match but the paint is nice and the suspension stuff is all there, get pics soon.

Re: Girvin proflex, Value ?

I have been noticing the bikes with the coil springs have been going generally for $100-$300

A little less for the elastometers, Usually melted all over the bike.

But these are prices for complete bikes.

Heres what I got, I have enough pieces to finish it right...I think

I've sold quite a few proflex's in the last year and generally get ~$200-$250. 1 857 I sold went for $360 but it was super clean and original.

If you want make profit, might be better to not toss any parts at it and just sell the frame and fork separately .

That fork is awesome. Personally if it wasn't worth as much as it is, I'd spray it flat olive green, hang some ammo boxes off of that swing arm on back, turn the front fork legs around and get the front wheel out another 2 inches, some black paint to put MP-2007 and U.S. ARMY on it, and of coarse a RatRodBikes.com sticker on the ammo boxes.

I am not going to throw money at it, just parts out of the back yard, I want to ride the dang thing before I move it.
