Friend calls me and says I need to buy this bike, he's there right now. I drive over 10 minutes away. A big yes on the spot. Brown girls Huffy, Shimano 3-speed coaster hub, missing one cable anchorage. All chrome is good but fenders are lightly dented (and the front is on backwards). Rear paperboy basket has some rust but will clean up. I'm going to lace the rear wheel into my red boys Murray and then convert this one into a one-speed and toss on craigslist for $25. The baskets will go to my mom's bike. Maybe it'll work out. Darn good parts bike for sure. I may even swap out the seat. And look how nice and green my yard got in the last two weeks!

i guess unless they find their narrow niche, girls huffies 3speeds, sea trails and other "free spirits" will continue to supply the masses with darn good parts bikes. clean 3speed and that seat is in great shape from what i can tell, but whats with the other shot of the red huffy cruiser? kinda dig that one, but this coming from the owner of a huffy built 63' jch, an 89' good vibrations, a 99' cranbrook(or santa fe) and now a brand new 09 cranbrook.

The red bike was my uncle's from the 70s. It will be the receiver of the good parts from the girl's bike. The black seat on the girl's bike is good except it lost some of it's rear seam stitches. I will resew them in and use it. I have some black grips to match it. Then I need to paint the tank in some way to spruce it up. The rest of the red bike will clean up and polish nicely.
