I have been hitting up my local goodwill outlet where you buy stuff from big bins and pay $.69/ pound. Today I found a bunch of old bike store stuff. There was a bucket full of NOS bearings. Mostly crank but a few sets of rear wheel and front axle bearings. Looks a lot like the ones used on Schwinn bikes. Which is good for me if they are the correct size. Probably not but for the price I couldn't go wrong. There were also several new brake cables in black and some new style reflectors. I also got a new set of training wheels which may come in handy when I find another "trash day" bike.
I got all this plus my other stuff for a whopping $7. My bag weighed over 10 pounds. Most of that was bike stuff.
