goofy trike on CL in CT

I've seen those and don't recall what they're called.
One reason it looks goofy is that the top is missing. There was a "hood" part that went on it that isn't there. Probably got busted up or something.
I saw one of those on the Texas Tech Campus back in the early 80's. They were going about 8 mph. It's too slow to go with traffic, too wide to get out of traffic, so a pretty useless vehicle, other than being cool in a nerd sort of way. I've seen two or three others for sale on Ebay or Craigs list in the last year or two, so they do turn up occasionally.

There was a ppv on CL here that needed rebuilt. Too much at 500 bucks. Since the wife can't ride alone, it would work for us. I'd have to makesome kind of hotrod body for it.
From that side view, it looks kinda like the profile of a Pirate's ship.... Arrggghh!

Rhoades car is another source of plans and maybe kits/prebuilt.
Most of the manufactured ones I have seen were vacation-resort-type things,,,, VERY heavy, very low gearing, not meant for covering significant distances or climbing hills. And they take up an entire car lane if you try to ride them on the street.
