Got Stood Up The Other Day

Guy calls me and says he has a 3 speed and another bike he wants gone . All I know is one has a headlight and bikes are outside and rusty. My impression was they were junk .

Well had to go to town anyway and bikes were only a few minutes out of my way to go look. I called the guy back while in town and said would be there in ten minutes. Says he was in town too but would meet me there at his home.

So I get to his house and sit and wait..and wait..and wait noone shows up and calls to his phone are unanswered. Never heard another word. Some people. At least I didnt make a special trip. My first instinct was to stay away but curosity got me and I wanted to see because you never know but judging by the junk cars in his yard it was probably crap.

im learnin more all the time,no one comes to my house till i get to know them,they have to meet me a place that will be 5 min from my house,there is a designated time they are to be there,if something comes up on there end,they must call and let me know,they have a 15 min leaway,when they get to the designated spot i will bring the bike to them,they can then look at it in person and ride it if that needs to be done,cass only,my phone will capture there phone number,mine will be unavailable to them after the encounter,unless i feel ok with them,i did all these things wrong b4 and was pissed,acually the loser took me to school,some of this may sound harsh to some,but thats how i work it if its a serious and stand up customer they will understand,my craigs list sales only have my phone number no text or emails,AJ

Ive had people stand me up like that before, I usually leave them a message if I get stood up telling them they can just drop the bikes off at my house if the really want to get rid of them. I give everyone a chance (with in reason) to show me what they have on the slim chance its something I have been looking for. Sometimes its a killer deal some times its scrap.

nope myself and a few friends have bikes on craigs list and the geeks way out number the legit people,i cover all bases when dealing with the craigs list ppl
