Greased Lightning II

Greased Lightning was one of the first bikes I built. Probably my best riding bike but I was bored with it. I tore it down this year and repainted the frame to use on the Raffle Rod.

I used the wheels to build up a similar bike, this one with original paint. The sprocket may get changed and I'll add a few other things eventually, one being the flask.

The tires are the newer Schwinn Typhoon Cords.

The hub and shifter are Shimano. It was given to me. Don't know about it's origins.

sweet ride. i have a soft spot for both the red rim on whitewall look and old schwinn cruisers. i have a 51' schwinn spitfire myself in basically unrestored original condition. blackwalls now, but i was entertaining the thought of whitewalls for it. are those schwinn type 26x 1 3/4 sizes? gotta find me some. again great bike and id ride it for days.

The tires are 2.125.

I can't recall what the crank & sprocket were from. It's just been hanging on my parts wall.
