Big thanks to Steve and Karen, And Oldgreaser and his family for coming over today! What a Blast!

I'm sure there will be more pics to come!

Re: GREAT DAY WITH.... MplsCoaster AND Oldgreaser

Thanks for the photos. Makes me jealous, no one around here to ride rats with, poor me :( . Looks like you guys had fun, didn't get too wet, I hope? I might be going down to MA to a HPV festival and might see someone from RRB there.

Re: GREAT DAY WITH.... MplsCoaster AND Oldgreaser

Awesome! Good times, Good times!

We had a Blast too!
Big Thanks to Skipton and Lisa for hosting!
Great to meet the boys, Rick and Lisa and their son too :D

As Skipton said great conversation with like minded folks was awesome :D
I'll post my pics when we get home, not fluent with this tablet

BTW, Rick got BlueX going no problem, Skipton had to give me a push for me to ride
So cool to see Skipton's and Rick's bikes up close
Many really cool details and thought went into them
The pics alone don't do them justice

Steve

I concur., a GREAT DAY!!! w/ MplsCoaster and skipton. Thanks again Skipton family for hosting, it was nice to met and spend some time with Steve and Karen. Waiting out the rain cut into riding, but not conversation about everything bicycle.

The rain did cut short the riding, but not the bike talk!!!!

Such a nice day!
Thanks for coming out! and all the great food.

Wow, thanks Guys for the comments on the Spaceliner! :D
Realized the next day the seat moved and was tilted up in the front (ow!)
It actually rides a lot easier when you can sit on just the back

So my Wife and me got some more pics, Karen was a trooper
The pic is blurry only cause Skipton was going so fast

Rick took Karen's Hercules out, must have liked by the smile on his face
IMG_6823II.jpg

Lisa took it out too and when she came back she said, "I would like a bike like this"
Skipton , guess you have a request...
IMG_6828II.jpg

Rick rode BlueX with ease and ripped the front up and rode it up the curb  8)
IMG_6832II.jpg

Then he used his Popeye arms and did it again with the Spaceliner   :D
IMG_6827II.jpg

Skippy and Me took ours out for a "drive-by" photo shoot
IMG_6829II.jpg

Can you tell we were having fun?
IMG_6830II.jpg

So Skipton took us for a short ride and I had to try Bellowing Yellow (Skip's pic)
The cops were chasing us because his bike was too cool

I wonder why people were looking at me funny while sitting in the middle of the path
IMG_6850II.jpg

Notice how the bike are in all primary colors?
Red, Yellow, Blue, and Chrome

Now what do we do?
IMG_6852II.jpg

Bike Ambulance to the rescue! those swings  , he felt better at home :D

It was a great day!
Thanks for looking
Steve

What a cool set of photos!!!
That would have been fun to be part of!!!

Thanks Guys, it was really fun.

Seems like there are some pockets of RRBikers where they get together
Witchita KS, Cali, Texas, Jersey... but not to many in MN
Think it would be mega fun to have a big ride somewhere in the middle of the country
It made a good excuse for hauling the bikes on an 8 hour drive to Chicago :D

Forgot to post these 2 pics of BlueX, still don't do it justice but I tried

A lot of the pics in Skipton's basement bike shop came out blurry

Steve

Good news!... Garret's leg is OK. :D

Steve,
Thanks for posting the pics!
Love the arty BlueX shots.

Two minutes after you and Karen left I thought of much better. less care traffic places to ride. :?
Big THANKS to Karen for being such a trooper!

The skyline spaceliner shot is GREAT!.... Maybe a avatar :?:

Was a great day!
Anytime you want to swing by I will get the grill and bikes ready!

Skipton: Glad to here Garrett's okay :D
Karen was a trooper for me but she also very much enjoyed the visit
Every time I get an avatar small enough, it's too hard to see :|

Again great photos and narrative.
Was looking at your bike Steve on the lakefront path and thinking that a bonus to this cool, clean simplistic look is that it probably travels well. Easier to transport than a bike with a lot of bells and whistles on it.

Thanks Randy, not quite as polished or animated as yours but it'll do

I hadn't really thought about it but your right, they only weigh ~52 lbs together
My minimalism is validated, yeah! I'm too lazy to add the bells and whistles.

I did think think about carrying 2 bikes on the trunk of my wife's new car
The bike rack had to be placed on the trunk instead of the bumper cover (no support)
It was an ugly mount but that's the price you pay transporting a Spaceliner
IMG_6801II.jpg

They bounced a fair amount but no dents or scratches (that I saw)

Few more pictures worked out
Can you tell what house is Skipton's? It pays to advertise
IMG_6803II.jpg

Here's Skipton showing us a very cool purple dual-twin tube muscle bike
with short cottered cranks and a neat chainring
IMG_6811II.jpg

Good one of Rick's and Lisa's very nice bikes
IMG_6804II.jpg

I think the best line heard was," I guess they don't have kick stands in MN"

Thanks for looking
Steve

Sorry I missed the get together . The Spaceliner is awesome Mpls. I had to prep my popup for a trip to Co. so was pretty busy . Should have done a better job though ...l ran out of propane on the second day at 10000 ft.
