My personal preference is bailing wire. 
I have wired lots of things together on my street rods.
One time the exhaust pipe coming out of my headers rusted out and dropped off just as I left Houston. I wired the sucker back on and sinched it up to the hole in the header and drove it up to Chicago, then to the show in Indianapolis, and then back to Houston. That stuff works miracles. :lol:
