Greetings and salutations from Fargo, North Dakota. I have always been hands on and done my own maintenance on my bikes and am just starting to explore into doing more than just maintenance. Long term I want to make my own powered board track bike when I can afford the parts and figure out the details. A bit about me is that up until a couple years ago, I was a master model maker at a metal casting company. Then I got replaced by a 3D printer. Now I run the rat race in a cubicle farm for an insurance company. I am hoping to work on a lot more interesting rat projects than what my current job provides.

It sounds like you have a skilled and creative background and putting bikes together as you see fit is a great place to exercise both muscles.
