At last it is SPRING!! Time to pull all of the bikes out of the basement and attic. Took the "Basket Bike" up to the supermarket for supplies. At least I have my priorities straight. Cheers

I rode around Madison, WI, today and was heading back home around dinner time. I couldn't believe how many people and their grills were out in the front yard cooking up dinner. Had to get home before I saw the Leinenkugel..........it's a Wisconsin thing...

I noticed you have those raised center rims that a lot of the old Higgins have. Did you have to true them? I've bought two vintage Higgins, and both needed truing. It's ironic, because the rest of the bikes were built like tanks, but the wheels were definitely the weakest link.

The rims look terrible and the spoke tension was more like yarn than steel when I picked it up, but believe it or not both wheels spun true.

Great Looking Grocery Getter...

Looks like you got a bit thirsty on the long ride back from the supermarket as there appears to be a few missing from the 12 pack...

Like the smoking grille in the background...adds a nice touch to the photograph!
