Half Link

I am in need of a 1/2 link for a single speed cruiser /BMX chain. I asked my lbs to order one but they said they couldn't get one. Anybody got any ideas?

my local hardware store stock them in those metal pull out drawers in several sizes. i found my 1/2 by 1/8 half link for .79.

This might not work for your application but here is what I did when I couldn't find one...
I ground down the drop out where the rear axle fits in, allowed me to slide it back enough to use two more links.

I just bought one from my lbs for $2. Do you have any other shops in the area?

Hardware dept. At lowes or home despot has them.

i bought 6 of them off of ebay about 3 yrs ago. just used one 2 weeks ago on my firestone super cruiser project. they definitly come in handy.
