Hey all,
I'm looking to make a curve in my seat post to offset the seat towards the rear wheel. I was messing around with an old rat set of handlebars abd the curve was right. Would this hold an adult male without a gusset or is the guage of the steel too thin on handlebars?
Also any thoughts on how to offset the seat on a Schwinn ? I'd love to set the seat back on my '64 Fleet :| but nothing fits the 13/16"ths post diameter. Any ideas to get my mind unstuck on this would be helpful.
Thanks,
JB

some people have had good luck with handlebar ends off a mountain bike to offset the seat further back. Try flipping the seatpost and you should be close to making it work

I'm not really a big dude, but I haven't had any problem with either of these bending. They had a fairly thick inner diameter.
