Actually, I do know people who focus on one thing at a time, both of my brothers seem to. But if you only do one thing, then when do you get to think about what you are doing, if you are already doing it? When I start working on something else, it clears my mind for whatever else I was doing, it is like stepping away and seeing it from some distance.

THAT AND SOME JED CLAMPETTED WHITTLING TO GET A SEMI SNUG FIT. AS I TRACED IT OUT AND STARTED CUTTING IT. I COULD HEAR MY DAD IN MY EAR SHOUTING..GUIDE..GUIDE GUIDE!! Love the memory from Pops.
I feel lucky I grew up learning how to do so much with my hands and tools from my dad, grandfathers, uncles, etc. I was telling Queenfish the other day that many times when I am working on something, I feel them all right there with me working (or supervising) the project. I am very blessed to have what they all taught me and always feel confident that I can backyard engineer most anything I set my mind to. Other friends don't have those experiences, and I know that if I asked them to find the metric crescent wrench for me, they would actually try to find it (but probably return with vise grips) .
