What are your plans with it? just clean it up or custom?
Clean it up, massage the tins, and find some repop Typhoon tires for it. Been wanting a clean stock bike for a while.

Re: Happy Birthday to Me

I was born in '77 so the year of the bike has no meaning to me. I would try to find a '77 model but there was absolutely no style in the 70s.

Re: Happy Birthday to Me

So we had arranged for me to buy the bike tonight. But school enrollment for the kids was yesterday and there went my bike money. :(
I called the guy this morning to tell him I would have to wait on the bike. He called me back a couple minutes later and said to bring my truck to work, he would bring the bike and I could just pay him whenever. Super cool considering I just met the guy three days ago. This evening as we talked while looking over the bike. He asked about my intentions for the bike. I told him to restore it and ride it. He said that had been his dream when he bought it 15 years ago. Then he said "should you ever sell it, that is when you need to pay me. Until then happy birthday." How awesome is that? People never cease to suprise me.

Re: Happy Birthday to Me

I snapped a few pics when I got home, but it was getting dark so the quality leaves a little to be desired.

The Spitfire in all it's glory
