Happy Thanksgiving!!

We usually go to Grandmas house, but thats not going on this year so we are gonna cook our own bird and chill at home and make Gin Fizzies....maybe I'll have some "bike" time..

whats your holiday plans? ?

Ahhh Turkey day!

We started doing our own thing several years back, just the basics... Turkey, dressing, mashed taters, gravy, home made rolls, etc. Now it seems like the family comes to us, later on today will be dinner for approx 15.

The wife has her turkey in the oven, Ive got my bird in the smoker... life is good :D

Happy Turkey Day!!

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary.
Every word out of the bird's' mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity.
John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words,
playing soft music and anything else he could think of to clean up' the bird's vocabulary.
Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even more rude.
John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed.
Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heardfor over a minute. Fearing that he'd hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer.
The parrot calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched arms and said "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions.
I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude andunforgivable behavior."
John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior,
the bird spoke-up, very softly, "May I ask what the turkey did?"

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

UCWT, That a funny, I'll be using that one later.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you out there in RRB land, Have a great time in what ever you do today.

We have a 30# bird inthe oven now, to feed about 25 or so later. We've been doing this for the last 5 or so years. We use to eat then go the the Plaza to watch the lights turn on.
Now we just gobble gobble gobble until we wobble to the couch to crash.

No bike time for me today, just the time I've spent here on RRbikes.

Happy Thanksgiving my American neighbors. Ours was back in October of course. As a vegetarian of two years I do say I really miss turkey sometimes.

Don't miss it too much, I just got done with mine now I'm tired. Home made slow roasted turkey, stuffing, Home made mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn, fresh rolls, sweet potato souffle, pumpkin pie, and ice cold beer. AND got a new bike to play with! Ah life is good.
