In preparation for the Skid Row Contest at the Midwest Bicycle Fest I needed to weigh down the wheel on my Super stretched Skid bike the Long Hauler (Anything Goes Build Off).
My steel stocks were low so I needed to scrounge the garage for something heavy. I found the 45lb set of 3 12 volt 20 A/hr batteries I had used on my wife's trike with a 36v hub motor. If I am using batteries for weight I might as well use them. The batteries were wired in series to get the 36v. I rewired them in parallel to give me 12v 60 A/hr. Add in a car dvd player and the Coaster's 2010 review dvd and now everyone watching me skid past can watch tv as I pass.
