I think it's your foot position. Move your feet up a little to those little rubber dealies and push down on the front one.

When this happens, just flip it upside-down and re-lace the wheels - a technique first tested on a Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster.

I think the bike is defective. A flat tire is supposed to only be flat on the bottom. Yours is flat on the top. It's probably one of those Australian bikes so it's upside down here.
