I saw this one on Ebay and had to have it. WHile the pics in the auction made it look pretty good it was actually cover with minor rust pits. While the chrome in the 60's was waaay better than todays, it generally did not hold up to the standards of say Schwinn chrome. I equate this bike to a 1969 Plymouth Fury III 2 door. i think McGarret in 5-O had a Fury 4 door, LOL. Anyway it cleaned up very well and is in Excellent shape. Proud to have it in my Space Bike collection. ENjoy the pics.

there is something very cool about the space looking bikes. i have a hawthorn as well although mine is not chrome and not nearly in as good of condition. it was the bike that got me into vintage bikes long ago i restored it when i was 12 years old. now it sits in the garage more or less taken apart waiting for me to get inspired as what to do with it.

you just bought that recently didn't you "Yeshoney"
I believe I saw it for sale on The Bay and I was drooling over the cool lines.

just keep the chrome oiled and enjoy it.It will be worth a mint one day!

very nice,
Kev.
