Head Light/Tail Light Possibility

Just picked this up for $3.00 at Savers.

Im not really sure where to take it, but Im feeling its going on my '39.
and honestly, it looks strangely suiting on the top of the rack

Thoughts?

Guess that gives me a general feel for tail light.

I have, But Id like to know how folks did the same specific object as a light, I imagine its much the same, but knowing the lens pieces used..how hard it was to penetrate the copper shell, if that was necessary, etc..

For mine, I did a really easy conversion. I took a cheap LED flashlight, and wrapped an inner tube around it until it fit snug inside the piece. I then drilled a tiny hole in back, where I could poke the back of the flashlight to turn in on or off.

Yea, did you pop in the flashlight then add a cover or just use the cover of the flashlight?

I noticed you also brought the handle from one side of the canister to the other, was it hard to shape the top to get it to fit over, or did you disassemble the handle and reassemble for mounting? I was thinking of using the handle to my advantage, sort of ..Klaxton motor like, and carrying a chain from the handle to the back of the seat or summit...
