Head races in a Kent bicycle

Does anyone know about how to buy a headset for a kent bicycle? It has a 1 1/8" steerer tube. I bought an 1 1/8" headset online, but the frame cups, which are not replaceable are bigger diameter than the OD of the 1 1/8" races.Does this mean the Kent headset is special somehow?

Possibly. Some of those "Mart" bikes have funny size one Piece Bottom brackets too.

I'm afraid that may be the case. I'll probably need a custom adapter to press into the neck.

Could you post a pic of your problem?...As I understand it, you may be able to use shims....

What the deal is, the cups that the headset races are pressed into are part of the frame. The diameter of the cups is larger than normal 1 1/8" races fit into. The stock races must be some kind of special oem size.
