I searched and could not find the advice I need on head sets.

I'm in need of new head sets for a 54 Western Flyer and a 49ish Rollfast. Both head tubes appear to be the same I.D.

I've removed a cup from the Western Flyer (they are missing from the Rollfast) and it appears to be approximately 34mm on its O.D. which is a friction fit with the head tube.

Can anyone direct me to someplace where I can simply purchase new head sets that will work? The fork stems are both 1" and 24 T.P.I. Or maybe there is some kind of shim that can be used to adapt readily available new head sets?

Surely Wald or some one is still making these, and I could simply order the complete sets new, if only I knew the correct part number.

Any advice is very much appreciated.

Thank you,
Andrew

Thanks guys. Sorry if my questions seem basic. This is my first bicycle project. I've been mostly working on hot rods and motorcycles.

I walked into 3 different bicycle shops to give the local guys a shot at selling me some Wald head sets, but just got blank looks, so ordered them over the internet.
