I am in the midst of preparing to paint my '74 Schwinn Continental. I twisted one of the headbadge screws, trying to remove it and the head broke off, leaving the body of the screw in the hole! The other screw came out fine, but those darn things are small and I don't want to strip threads by forcing the broken one out.

Recommendations?

Thanks in advance

I dont think you have much choice. Can you get some pliers on the broken one? I have heard that you can use small brass wood screws as a replacement. Or you could use some double side tape.

Yeah, no big deal if it is not going to be a 100pt restoration. Buy a quality bit and some lube and drill the old one out...tap the hole 4-40, pick up some stainless button head allen screws at a hobby shop and you are done-professional looking results.
