I know there are many products out there to get the cloudiness out of plastic headlights-but I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with this. Can anyone recommend a good working solution?

Toothpaste. Otherwise auto stores like Advance, Checker, Autozone have DIY kits for fairly cheap. You could get a very fine sandpape and wetsand them. But if you want to do it really cheap go for the toothpaste route. Nothing fancy just plain old cheap stuff and some elbow grease.
