Looking for some headlight ideas. I don't realy want just the same thing that is on choppers." Not that there's anything wrong with that. " (;0)

I put a Puch moped headlight on my Electra Ghostrider and will be converting it to LED asap!
It's a side-mounted headlight with metal motorcycle brackets holding it onto the forks.

Harley Softail headlight. I run it with a 12v 17amp/hr deep cycle battery. the battery also powers an ahoooga horn, and 2 tail lights. I do 4 to 6 hour night rides once a month, and it never goes dim. In fact, most times they have me ride up front... not concerned with how much my bike weighs, and it's not at all a commuter
It's an Electra Straight8 in candy red.

Now that's a HEADLIGHT. Wow
Do you have stock gears/cogs to make up for the weight ?

something that i saw in the horse magazine a guy used on of those old 50's microphone for a taillight. i think i would make a pretty cool headlight on a rat bike.

After seeing these cool lights, I tried to search the site for a headlight gallery, but couldn't find one.
I just created on for people to post their cool lights.

Here is the Headlight and Tail Light Gallery

Post your pics if you got them.

I like playing with bike lighting. Here are some of mine.
beer can headlights, they LED flashlights inside the can, mounted in foam donuts.

Some kind of nose cone turned flower pot, turned bike fairing/headlight, uses LED flashlight epoxy

Auto accessory most likely from a 1950s aftermarket parts catalog, NOW with LED lights powered by a 9v battery.

Oh, and there are the critter lights, a raccoon skin tank light, and mink head tailights, LEDs poweed by 9v, battery.

How about, Stick anywhere push lens lights on a cardboard VW bus bicycle?

And the old 1930s car lights turned bike lights, some powered with LED flashlight guts, some 9v.

Then one of my early bike light conversions, turning 1957 Chevy hood ornaments into taillights, LEDs using 3v 2 D cell batteries.

Well thats what I can show for now.

Here's a tailight I made from a planter, some weird aluminum bracket off a flat screen tv mount, and a piece of aluminum cut into a flame for a cover. lighting was from a led bike light held with velcro. Unfortunately I had to remove this as functionally , I kept hitting the back of my leg on it

And the headlight came off a ??? but it was jeweled, had to have it, I ended up running an automotive led light hooked to a 9 volt.
