thanks! I’m not sure how to do that! -Does Dremel make a glass cutter? The entire assembly is glass, front and back is glass.

its like a glass globe!

I’d rather source a ‘plug and play’ par 38 that is plastic/LED that I can swap in.
Dremel makes one there maybe an led equivalent plug and play all these bright ideas and miss the obvious

That's Canadian price sure you have them there.

Of course those things are evacuated but you can still drill into them from the back if you wanna try and convert it. You need to wet drill it with a diamond or carbide, and then enlarge the hole slowly with grinding stones.

It’s fast to break the back off with a little pick hammer but then you don’t have a Reflector
Just saw a video on YouTube: looks like the glass cutting on a rounded surface is pretty easy with a dremel and a diamond tip cutter: I’ll hit the doll store for the LED parts then try to cut the lamp and adapt the parts

Target was selling those years ago and they turned out to have a very high failure rate. I bought some just for the fancy aluminum housings, to use for other projects. I built one into the tailstock riser for my .308 bench rifle.

I like those self recharging solar yard lamps from At Home, but they’re not that bright. Even with four of them ganged together in a headlight, I wished I had used six. They do run a long time on a charge though.

So…. $10! It had a pretty nice Brooks B66 saddle on it.

As I had a verbal commitment to pickup the bike complete a few days after I made the owner an offer, the owner literally sold the seat out from underneath me!

lol

I was a little disappointed in the deal and told the owner that I didn’t want the bike without the seat, but if she was going to toss the rest of the bike, I’d take it!

She said come get it! - I gave her a $10-spot just because I felt like it was a lot of parts for $0!

I’d like to know the wheel size….. can’t find as the tires are too dry rotted

-looking at the rear hub, is this an ‘80?

I REALLY like the 3 speed internal hub WITH coaster brake; may be prefect for my summer straight bar build!

Any input I can get on year/ wheel size is greatly appreciated!

Win for zero $, but makes me sad whenever I hear these stories of sellers that don't have integrity and follow through with their word

I had one of those deals a few weeks ago. Made a handshake deal via text for me to arrive an hour later (45 minute drive) for what I knew to be a smoking deal and probably a seller that didn't know what they had. During my drive he says his phone is blowing up and people are offering him more than we agreed to. Sorry not sorry was the end of the conversation. Turned around and drove home

That is the coffee color get some Maguire's and a hand buffer the finish will be amazing Raleigh had an amazing enamel.
I think I have around 4 red frames of various models and agree the paint is very tough even with just a clean off with CRC or WD40 brings up the paint well

Those Raleigh bolts are worth more than the brooks saddle. So is that hub check to make sure it's 36 hole because a lot of those Raleigh had 40. Keep in mind to the threading is different than standard schwinn and others. 26 tpi I believe.
