a little late now lol the bike is all welded up. i would get a jig if i had the roomoutskirtscustoms said:I'd bolt it into the frame jig just to be certain. You don't want it crooked when you get done welding it up.
Tough slip though, at least you didn't burn yourself on a hot weld like I did on my buddy and I's Corvair van
last week. Had the van up on the lift and backed up against a hot weld and burned the back of my neck.
Sweet bike by the way
the rake. im good with the cruiser bars im installing ill make em longer if i have to or rake the seat forwardicyuod2 said:what exactly are you worried about?
only problem i see is getting long enough bars to make the ride comfortable.
if you have to reach too far, you'll feel like a taco. with such low bikes, ya wanna be leaning back in your seat
so your bars should come at least as far as your knees.
these proved to be just a little too short (so i'd ride holding the tassles)
i've since added a 4" longer set of dyno cruiser/moon bars.
thanks man, mines kinda flexy ill have to weld some supports on it and the 1/4x1" strap under it to keep the conduit from dentingicyuod2 said:check out the pic i just posted.rides like a dream.
no worries brotha!
believe it or not it was ok what happened was the frame slipped and slid off the ghetto jig i didnt notice it and started weldingsensor said:looks like your at about 42/43 degrees. which all in all shouldnt be that bad as long as you dont expect to turn on dime
heres some INFO you might find helpful
if its not okay just make a pie cut under where you welded it and bring it back a few degrees then weld it up(and for future reference measure, tack, measure, and stand back and stare.....dont feel bad ive had stuff like that happen before as well) again...
good luck!
