I just sold one of my favorite bikes,Hellbilly  I havent really rode it in about a year although many others have logged lots of miles on it.I had it out at the bike swap meet last Sun., many looked some rode and 4 people wanted my number for when they had the money.I listed it on CL yesterday, had a couple of emails but that was it. Today a gal came to see it at noon and came back this eve. with cash and a truck to take it home. She was very happy.Im down to 3 bikes now,the Colson clone which I am keeping and 2 old girls bikes (that are for sale as well).I have plenty of frames and wheelsets,Ill come up with a new build soon

Bye Bye Hellbilly

Well, it was an awesome bike and I'm sure the new owner will really enjoy it.

There's something freeing about letting them go...especially if you end up with a pile of dough in your hand.

very cool looking bike, better quit selling your bikes you'll be walking the parade route in fort collins!!

Also sad to see it go, I remember voting for that one in the build off. im sure the new owner will enjoy it though

Yeah I kinda hated to see it go but also was very glad it went to a great home. I wish I had a pic of the girl who bought it,ridin it. She was smilin from ear to ear.I will probably see it some day downtown on a ride.Plus I basically got what I wanted for it. This is the 3rd bike I've sold this week along with some parts. I have to tell you ,I kinda like the cash flow as well.

Cash is nice. I've got a whole bunch I plan on selling this spring. But our local craigslist has a lot to offer, but it looks like there are only a few buyers. Bikes are staying on there for a long time. :(

You will for sure see it again riding around town. I see bikes I've built and sold almost on a weekly basis. Some of them still look great, some have been abused or changed to be ugly, and some look better than when I sold them. It's pretty cool seeing them around all the time.
