Hello all. A little about me? Well, I dont like talking about myself first off, but I do like sharing knowledge. I've been a bicycle builder for over 10 years. Always something "out of the norm" and 70% of the time a stretched chopper of some sort. I was invited by a fellow builder/member "Aussiejester" who said there was a world of talent here and I will like what I see. After snooping around for an hr......yup, he was correct! I have tons of reading and exploring to do so i'd better get busy. To the moderators thanks for your hard work.

Here are a small collection of my current and past builds. Take care everyone.

Hello Graucho and welcome from California! :)

Nice work on your bikes! I have 2 questions for ya . . .
First of all, did you paint that entire frame with a Paasche "H" model?
Secondly, What's goin' on with the "Great Stuff"?

Thanks for the welcome all.
Hey Fireproof... good observation about the airbrush. I started about 6 years ago with the single action Paasche "H" model here....

And worked my way up to a higher quality double action (affordable) airbrush here....

I love to paint my bikes after spending quality time building them. I haven't seen a rattle can in 6 years since my first airbrush purchase. My wife says I get more excited now days when i'm painting the bikes, more than building them. I dont know though, I feel i'm always grauchie LOL

I’ve been using my “H” for at least twenty years and have not felt the need to upgrade yet! My set is pretty much like yours with one exception. Mine also came with a three oz. Color bottle . . . that’s like one third less refills during a paint job! You could probably get one from your airbrush dealer . . . might be a help to you when painting large areas.
btw, I’m still wondering about the expanding foam insulation I saw in one of your photos. I hope you’re not holding out one of your cool tricks from me.

OK Fireproof....
One of my tricks for vibration and smoothness is fill the forks, handlebars, bottom and top tube with expanding foam insulation. It ozzes out for about 20 minutes, but its a good trick for a smoother ride. Also very, very, light weight. Secondly, it is a good stress test for my welds. It causes a good amount of pressure inside of the tube. If you have a poor weld it will let loose. I've never had anything twist or buckle/warp from it, but I have had a weld split where I ground on it too much. Been doing this for about 6 years on every build.
