Hey folks. I just joined this forum. Ive been mainly involved in late-70s/early 80s BMX bikes for the longerst time. Well, Ive always been on the lookout for what I call a "3-bar cruiser". I admit, Ive been longing for something like a Cook Bros or a Laguna but have seen a bunch of early "balloon tire" bikes that would also fit this description.
Well, i just scored an old Hiawatha from CL (actually I made my father in-law pick it up for me in Oregon, where he lives, but it will be shipped to me soon enough). This site has given me lots of ideas on how I want to build this thing.
I have no serial # yet, but any ideas on what Ive got here?
