A friend of mine at work is bringing me these 2 bikes. The ladies bike has twin tubes for the top bars and they go all the way back to the rear wheel. Cant tell what they are from the pics he sent me so here they are. Thanks

Wow 7 min response time now thats quick service! Thanks guys. The rim on the huffy is rusted through so I dont know what to expect with that one. The ladies Murray bike has a thick coat of silver brushed on paint. I hope it preserved something decent underneath. We'll see when I get them.

I found this example on Memory lane's site listed as a bike for sale but no price given  They call it a Murray Black Knight and it looks like it came with a hornlite tank. Anyone have one of these lites for sale?

yeah, they got it. the first definatly a murray built bike (could have also been badged as a jc higgins, sears or western flyer brand). nice lines... i like it.

the second one is definatly a huffy and id bet money its a good vibrations since that frame is exactly like my 89' huffy good vibrations, with that chainring, those forks, yada yada. for huffy ser#s, the first number of the ser# is the last didget of the year (ie: H9528... would end 9 as in 69', 79', 89', 99' for example). yours is an 80's so that figures out most of it. they are not bad bikes, have a nice wheelbase and angles, and rides well.

nice finds!

Thanks Roadmaster, i would've never guessed that to be an 80's bike. The front wheel is completely rusted through. If its decent Im putting apes on it and making it a beater. The girls does have really nice lines and I will prob fix it up and it can be a college rental this fall. My niece is going to U of M on a full ride and she's going to post flyers for me for rental bikes.

hey tom. it looks like a good vibrations. i don't think i've seen one with fenders. that murray could be a number of different models. it looks like a sears seat. i had a sears skybolt with the same bars and chainguard. the frame was bent, so i parted it out. i may have a few parts left if you're interested. will

If the fork(hard to see the crown) and fenders are original, the Huffy is probably '70's, could be Goodvibe or could be previous nearly identical model, I forget what they're called. No difference in terms of usage or value.

I saw this exact bike yesterday at the auto swap meet going on this weekend in Canton, TX. I think he wanted 60 or 70 bucks for it - had tank and everything - he also had a John Deer bike that was really cool for 50. to much for me but if you live in East, TX you can go pick 'em up! I saw lot's of other cool bikes too, at fair prices - just not fair enough for me!
