HELP Walmart Cruiser Hub Problem?

Picked up one of the Walmart La-Jolla cruisers still in the box off CraigsList

I think there is an issue with the back hub... it seems like I have to back pedal awfully (nearly a half turn) far to brake and once it's there I have to sort of kick it forward to get the brake to release.

Any thoughts on this problem? I'm sure the hub is a crap brand, but this seems excessively bad.

Probably a Chicom hub. :roll: Sounds like they didn't put any grease in there. Open it up and take a look. Gary
