Help with disc brakes

Just recently finished a build, and installed my first disc brake kit on it, and it is squealing like a son of a ........ after looking at the caliper, one of the pads is much closer to the rotor than the other...(obviously this is my problem, however I am not sure how to adjust the caliper.. any help is greatly appreciated!

A lot of these disc brakes have different modes of adjustment; some are more adjustable than others. I've always liked the BB7 brakes b/c they have a lot of adjustment built-in, but even on brakes with fewer dials, in my experience, the best move is to readjust cable tension with the lever squeezed, to help center the rotor... but you were probably already doing that.
 
They make tiny shims for the caliper/rotor too in thousandths of a inch increments. Fear not man, once you get them set up right it is usually just adjusting your rotor straight after you crash it occasionally...

true....or after the heat warps it during a loooooong downhill.
 
Trying to figure out some sort of decal number or just something to put on the tank....looks to plain to me... any ideas?

You may have to drop the wheel out . They should have come with a plastic shim that will spread & push the piston back in on the caliper which should give you more room between the caliper . Also there is adjustment on the mounting bracket when loosened you can move it around just eye ball the gap on either side of the disk & pads then tighten back up . If that still doesn't work there is probably to much fluid in the system . You will have to let some out . But Bleed out only a drop or two then recheck it . Don't squeeze the break lever !!!!!

Thanks for all of the help, she is running and sounding like a CHAMP now! Time for some performance upgrades. Topped 38 mph just now, fully stock motor. Also, Still need to add some decals or something to the tank... looks too plain for me...
